Best excel 2013 book


Looking to find the best excel 2013 book for complete newbies or advanced users. You've come to the right place. I have read lots of excel books the last couple of years and my reviews can spare yourself a lot of time by choosing the a good excel book! I read books where they promise to teach me something but in the end I still end up googling all my leftover questions... So I will review some of the best excel 2013 books I've read from beginner guides to advanced references.

Best Excel 2013 book for beginners:

When you first start using excel you are often overwhelmed by all its functions, what you than need is a reference book that can guide you through the most essential parts of the program. The following excel book has been a real eye opener for me and does just that. This book is very easy to understand without any difficult explanation just plain simple. What I especially liked are all the good images with the exercises.

Excel 2013 For Dummies

You all know the "For dummies" series and I always have been a fan of them. The way this book is written makes it my Top Excel 2013 book, it is so easy to understand that even my grandmother would easily learn how to add formulas in excel.

Covers:
- Complete basics of Excel 2013
- Creating formulas and functions
- Create graphics and charts
- Some more advanced topics like VBA and Data analysis
(not much though)
- Good examples with pictures.

Best Excel 2013 book for intermediate:

When you have a basic understanding what Excel is about you probable know about 10% of all the cool features that are available. Most people know Excel's formula and function possibilities this is also the most used feature. Though when you want to create some more advanced applications using Excel the basic understanding is not enough. I have read a dozen of intermediate excel books it all depends on what you would like to learn. The following book is my most favorite excel book if you want to go behond the basics because it covers a lot of different intermediate subjects. And it also contains very useful exercises with good examples and explanations.

Microsoft Excel 2013 In Depth


For this book you will need to know the basics of excel, if you do this book will give a very good intro to all the new features in Excel 2013. It will cover a lot of different topics like Pivot tables, Sparklines, importing external data etc...

Covers:
- A lot of the new Excel 2013 features
- Good examples on how to design your tables and forms.
- Long list of keyboard shortcuts! Very handy
- Very detailed examples with formulas and advanced functions.
